WorldBeat Center is presenting a weekly Afro-Latin Jazz Jam featuring Turiya Mareya and Samsara with Robert Felcher, Tony Muhammad and Cesar Lozano. The weekly event will offer an opportunity for the community to come together with a special emphasis on Youth and BIPOC Communities. We will also be promoting a Bi-national experience in the weeks to come featuring musicians from the Tijuana Community. The focus is on education and community engagement using music. This unique experience will offer Latin Jazz and Afro-Jazz traditions as well as traditional straight ahead. As our world needs to unite and come together, the WorldBeat Center is using Music as a weapon to bring attention to traditionally marginalized communities and promote interaction between all areas of our city. As people of our community come together to engage with each other with Music we are furthering World Peace and a greater understanding and love between all communities. Also there will be opportunities for poets and dancers to celebrate and be featured with the musicians. The WorldBeat Center is an Afro-centric Cultural organization in Balboa Park.
