Latin jazz, Vietnamese dancers, Egyptian food, Bali crafts. What do these all have in common? They???re just a few of the sights, sounds and tastes to be sampled at MiraCosta College???s Multicultural Festival!
Sponsored by MiraCosta College???s Institute for International Perspectives, the day will also include performances by Thai and Aztec dancers, Ballet Folklorico, and St. John???s Youth Choir.
International foods will be available for purchase, including Asian wraps, tacos, falafels, kabobs and Colombian food. Vendors will be selling handicrafts from around the world, and information tables will be staffed by representatives from MiraCosta College student clubs, such as the International Club and Barrio Arte.
The festival will celebrate diversity in a way that brings people together. ???The Multicultural Festival is designed to promote cultural understanding and appreciation in our community,??? according to Mia Scavone, head of MiraCosta???s Institute for International Perspectives.
