San Diego International Kids' Film Festival
San Diego International Kids' Film Festival This year, the SDIKFF will screen over 150+ films from 30+ countries. American filmmakers as well as film delegations from China, India, Korea, Taiwan, Canada, Mexico, Russia, Japan, India, France, UK, Germany and many more, will appear at the event. There are autography and take a photo with the festival youth ambassador Chalet Lizette Brannan --the "Tiger Lily."- "The Warrior Princess".

With goals to promote positive educational impact on children and the youth, the San Diego International Kid's Film Festival actively supports innovative films made by filmmakers from around the globe. In addition to the film screenings, as the regular program, the 2019SDIKFF will host Opening Night Gala, Culture Forums, Industrial Panel Discussions, Screenplay showcase, and Red Carpet Award Ceremony. The SDIKFF will have Family Film Market, Maeya Angel Cultural Ambassador Title competition and red carpet award ceremony. These events will help to facilitate interactions between filmmakers and the local students. Students and audiences will critique the films after each screening, and volunteer interpreters will assist with non-English speaking filmmakers at all events. The Cultural Forum events will focus on topics such as film production in different countries and cultural contexts. The film juries consist of an outstanding committee of industry personnel. There will also be film distributors present at the festival to secure other desired material.

Admission/Cost: Individual screenings - $5 - $10 Multi-film and Festival Passes availible. Some special events extra.

*Note: When we visited the site today (8/23) the Eventbrite listing showed that tickets for Friday were no longer available. We called the festival and they said that tickets were available and they would try to fix the listing. Tickets can also be purchased at the theaters. If the site still shows "sales ended", please call (310) 541-8040 and talk to the festival staff.
