Discussion: Who Wrote the Bible
Discussion: Who Wrote the BibleWhy do there appear to be two creation stories in Genesis? Why did Abraham ask Sarah to pretend to be his sister two different times? How many animals of each species did Noah bring onto the ark? These questions will lead us to consider the "Documentary Hypothesis," the scholarly assertion that the Torah is a compilation of separate sources. In this class, we will begin to untangle these sources and shed light on some of the Torah's most puzzling stories.
