2:00 PM Stage: A Midsummer Night's Dream As one of Shakespeare’s most popular romantic comedies, this play interweaves reality and magic, love and hate, chaos and order. Three distinct worlds are the focus: The Athenians, The Fairies and The Players. Chaos and comedy ensue when they all cross paths. Angry parents, rebellious teens, eloping young lovers, unrequited love, a natural world asunder, mischievous fairies, magical potions, mistaken identities, struggling young actors, wedding revelries, and an ass. Contrary to Shakespeare’s original, this production takes place during modern times in the Mediterranean region. The addition of ethereal dances and orchestral accompaniment augment this “dream-like” play.

2:00 PM Stage: Cambodian Rock Band This play/rock concert thrusts us into the life of a young woman trying to piece together her family history thirty years after her father fled Cambodia. Featuring a cast that performs a mix of contemporary Dengue Fever hits and classic Cambodian oldies, playwright Lauren Yee brings to life the Cambodian rock scene of the ‘60s and ‘70s, a movement cut short by the Khmer Rouge’s brutal attempt to erase the music (and musicians) once and for all. A story about survivors, the resilient bond of family and the enduring power of music.
