7:00 PM California Ballet: The Nutcracker California Ballet Company presents "The Nutcracker" at the San Diego Civic Theatre with the San Diego Symphony.

Join Clara and her Nutcracker Prince on a fantastical adventure with giant rats, glittering snowflakes, and the Sugar Plum Fairy's Kingdom of the Sweets.

California Ballet also presents special 60-minute performances for families with very young children. These shows are at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 14 and December 21.

Before the shows there red carpet photo opportunities, plus meet and greets with the cast after the matinee and early evening performances.

Staged by students and young adults, you'll go on an extraordinary journey to the magical Land of the Sweets with young Clara and her brave Nutcracker Prince.

Witness an epic battle between toy soldiers and mice before being whisked away to an enchanting land of falling snow, waltzing flowers, and the dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. Set to Tchaikovsky's timeless score, this classic holiday ballet production is a cherished San Diego family tradition.

Accompanied by the City Ballet Orchestra and Chorus, this heart-warming production is the perfect way for families to immerse themselves in the holiday spirit, year after year. Even though most of my material is geared for a Filipino audience, if you're smart enough you'll understand the universality of it. Look at the comedy traditions of Jewish and African American comics, which are now the mainstream through Seinfeld, Bruce, Allen, Rock, Pryor and Murphy. Our struggles become our comedy."
