All Day San Diego County Fair The San Diego County Fair offers all of the deep-fried foods-on-a-stick, rides, animals and games you've experienced at other state and county fairs, but this fair is also known for world-class exhibits in fine art, photography, woodworking, jewelry/gems and minerals, home and hobby, and the Paul Ecke Jr. Flower & Garden Show...not to mention an unsurpassed view of the Pacific Ocean from the Ferris Wheel! The Toyota Summer Concert Series at the San Diego County Fair features nationally recognized entertainment every night; the entertainment lineup is usually announced in late March. With an additional eight stages located throughout the grounds, you're sure to find a band, dance troupe, DJ or comedian to suit your fancy!

This year's fair features numerous Latino performing artists and groups.

Admission/Cost: Free - $19 per day. Many discount packages and ticket deals can be found.

11:00 AM House of Israel Lawn Program The House of Israel will host their annual Lawn Program. You will be able to enjoy a colorful display of singers and dancers, who will share their ethnic and cultural history by performing dances and songs in beautiful costumes showing Israel's tradition in a most charming way.

Among the foods served for the Lawn Program event will be a dish called "Schwarma." It is grilled chicken, lamb or beef that is sliced and filled into pita bread, usually paired with a salad, falafel or other foods popular in Israel. Potato pancakes (latkes) with applesauce will also be served, as well as a variety of pastries. Coffee and lemonade will also be available.

3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Odissi Dance School Spring Recital You are warmly invited to join the Center for World Music's Odissi Dance School for its spring recital.

The program will be directed by Sri Rajesh Kumar Palai, visiting teacher from the Orissa Dance Academy, Bhubaneswar, India. Students will demonstrate their knowledge and skill through various performances.

This event is free and open to the public. It will provide an opportunity for anyone interested in learning about Indian classical dance to meet members of our school and learn about Odissi.

6:30 PM Documentary: New Neighbors Project Every year, unique perspectives from around the world come to San Diego for the IRC's International Documentary Film Series. From the frontlines of conflict to rebuilding life in a new country, these films take an honest look at the reality of the refugee experience. Each screening is followed by a Q&A discussion with an expert on the film's subject area.

New Neighbors Project: In their voices, and through their own eyes, come self-directed refugee films from the new American West.

For company, he has only his daughter Miranda, the spirits who are native to the island, and his beloved books. The books are the source of his dark magic, which he uses to lure his enemies to the island so he can exact revenge. But his plot could destroy Miranda's happiness, so Prospero must choose between his own anger and his daughter's future.
