9:00 AM Cervantes Festival San Diego/Alcala (Spain) Sister Cities Society and the House of Spain sponsor the Cervantes festival in honor of Miguel de Cervantes, born in our sister city.

Along with the public reading of Don Quijote de la Manch, there will be art exhibits, music, dance, paella, and many activities for children. The event is free, the only charge is the for the paella.

Join us and spend the day learning about San Diego's sister city, Alcala de Henares, and Miguel de Cervantes while enjoying Spanish cuisine, art, music, and dance!

10:00 AM Archeological Workshop for Kids Take a trip back in time with your family at the San Diego Archaeological Center! Students will participate in artifact analysis and mapping and an Archaeology Quest in the museum, with additional museum activities afterwards. New exhibits will also be available to explore where participants can learn the basics about archaeology through hands-on activities for children and adults. Participants can check out the new Cuseum app which offers additional information and videos.

Please wear closed toed shoes, pants, and a jacket in case of inclement weather. It is also recommended to bring water and a snack. Donations are gratefully accepted. (Suggested $5).

12:00 PM International Dance Spring Festival The International Dance clubs in Balboa Park will host their annual Spring Festival. Each day will host different master dance teachers and international song and dance. Between the teaching and performances will be open - request dancing from many countries. There will vendors selling arts, crafts, clothes, and other spring gifts at the village marketplace. All in the Balboa Park Club Ballroom.
