1:00 PM San Diego Jewish Film Festival The mission of the San Diego International Jewish Film Festival is to offer outstanding world cinema that promotes awareness, appreciation, and pride in the diversity of the Jewish culture. Festival programs aim to educate and illuminate through evocative, independent fiction and documentary films that portray the Jewish experience from current and historical global perspectives.

Now in its 29th year, the San Diego International Jewish Film Festival has become one of the largest and most highly acclaimed Jewish Film Festivals in the country. Today, with more than 17,000 ticket holders, SDJFF is the most widely attended annual Jewish cultural event in San Diego. The 11-day Festival features over 80 screenings of international films at five theatre venues: Reading Cinemas Town Square, Edwards San Marcos 18, Museum of Photographic Arts , Project Bar & Grill and the Garfield Theatre at the JCC.

2:00 PM Shen Yun Chinese Music and Dance Shen Yun returns with an all-new program for Chinese New Year with a 5000-year journey through ancient dynasties and faraway lands including 100 dancers and singers, 1000 hand-made costumes, 20 sets and animated backdrops accompanied by a concert orchestra blending Western and Chinese instruments. Expatriate Chinese Falun Gong practitioners living in North America founded Shen Yun in 2006 in New York. The show features contemporary scenes of a political nature.

Become versed in the strict courting rules, elaborate Victorian flirting techniques like the "Language of the Fan," and all that was expected when both parties finally said, "I do." Learn about Romanticism- a movement that gained momentum in the late 1800s- which emphasized inspiration, subjectivity, and the primacy of the individual and how it not only influenced Art and Literature but also ideas and romantic notions of the Victorian era.
