Sol E Mar

SolEMar

Sol e Mar is a unique, versatile band expert in all things Latin, Caribbean, Cuban, and Brazilian. The band plays the perfect style for any given event. A small combo that plays elegant bossa nova and cha cha cha or a high energy dance band that can deliver styles like Salsa, Samba, Reggae, Calypso, Soca, and Merengue.

Samba or Salsa dancers and Carnaval traditions from everywhere are woven into a complete floor show with authentic choreography by captivating performers. Sol e Mar's players are established musicians, composers, producers, and professors, as well as highly skilled percussionsts who specialize in Carnaval Parades of Brasil with Escola de Samba and Cuba, where the famous conga line was born.

Having performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Sergio Mendes at the Hollywood Bowl, this group has the highest standards of musicianship and professionalism. For special events Sol e Mar has included special guests with the biggest names in Cuban and Brazilian percussion on the west coast who are recognized as masters in Brazil, Cuba, and Trinidad. Sol e Mar's first release 'Percussion Avalanche ' was released in 2002.
