Traditional Techniques in Shibori & Indigo Dyeing

Come and explore a range of shibori dye resist processes including tegumo (spiderweb), ori nui (stitched), and itajime (clamped). We will be using a natural indigo vat to dye the bamboo scarf and understand in the process the symbiotic relationship with indigo dye and this traditional textile surface design.

Students will acquire the basic techniques to continue their journey into creating beautiful, unique textiles.

This workshop requires 3-person minimum. You’ll receive full refund if we do not meet the minimum.
