The Japanese Friendship Garden will celebrating our ancestors with a Toro Nagashi Festival in honor of the tradition of Bon Odori. The festival will be held on Saturday, August 7th from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. We welcome everyone to join our celebration!
All of the activities, vendors and performances will take place inside the garden’s gates. Bon Odori will not be performed in the Organ Pavilion this year, however we invite you to join us for Bon Dance performances inside the Inamori Pavilion. Guests can also enjoy Taiko Drummers and a Japanese chorus in addition to the various vendors who will be set-up throughout our 12 acre Japanese garden! Toro Nagashi (floating lanterns) will be held in the lower garden and DIY floating lanterns will be available for sale in the Inamori Pavilion. Want to pre-order your lantern?
