The San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF) was originally established seventeen years ago as a student film festival at the University of California, San Diego focusing on works by Latinos and/or about the Latino Experience. Since that time, The San Diego Latino Film Festival has developed into one of the larger and well-respected Latino film festivals in the country.

Known fondly as the largest fine art festival in southern California, Mission Federal ArtWalk is a two-day event held from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on April 24 and 25, 2010 celebrating original works of art. In its 26th year, the fine arts festival has been counted upon by artists and art lovers alike, to bring together all facets of the arts in San Diego and promote the joy and investment in owning original artwork.

The fine art festival features more than 300 artists from all over the United States, as well as Mexico, who display their original art for exhibit and sale. What makes Mission Federal ArtWalk unique is the opportunity to engage directly with fine artists who are respected in their field. A wide array of mediums will be on display, including paintings, sculpture, glasswork, photography, music, dance and entertainment. There is also a special area for kids and families known as KidsWalk, which provides free and interactive creative arts activities including painting, performing arts, music and more.

01:00 PM 18th Annual Kuumba Fest
The 18th annual Kuumba Fest promises "positive cultural images, healthy challenges, and spiritual rejuvenation." Events begin on Friday with traditional ceremonial pre-fest opening in the courtyard with vendors, fashion, cultural art, music, food, drumming, dance, libations. "Royal Court" begins at 7:30 with parade of history, warrior kings, queens and ancient pharaohs. Also on tap: the play Black at the Gate.

Saturday promises opening of marketplace (11 AM), educational workshops (Noon), youth play (1 PM), dance and step showcase (3 PM),
"Late Nite Live" (9 PM), more.

Marketplace opens at 1 PM on Sunday, with "The Living Truth" biographical monologues (3:30 PM), cooking demonstrations (4 PM), gospel event (7 PM), more.
