4:00 PM SD Asian Film Festival The San Diego Asian Film Festival is the flagship event of Pacific Arts Movement (Pac Arts), one of the largest media arts organizations in North America that focuses on Asian and Asian American cinema. The festival is dedicated to highlighting the diversity and breadth of Asian Pacific Islander and Asian international images, from impassioned independent voices and provocative documentary subjects, to the top hits from the world's biggest continent, the latest works from the masters of cinema, and the fresh points of view of Asian Pacific Islander American filmmakers.

5:00 PM Coronado Island Film Festival Since its 2016 launch, CIFF has screened a blend of notable independent films alongside Oscar-nominated features, making their San Diego County premieres. The festival's Presenting Sponsor is Hotel del Coronado, and CIFF's signature event, the Leonard Maltin Celebrity Tribute, will again take place in the hotel's iconic Crown Room. At that venue, attendees will enjoy a lively reception and plated dinner, followed by Maltin's intimate interviews with this year's Celebrity Honorees, including actors, directors, screenwriters and cinematographers.

Editor's note: While most of the films are America, there are some international films in the festival as well.

Because of his cross-cultural upbringing, his material reaches a wide range of audiences. With keen observations of heritage delivered through energetic wit, Jason's anecdotes about family, culture, and society, rings with an optimistic vigor. Notably, Jason is the winner of The World Series of Comedy main event in Las Vegas, was apart of the prestigious Boston Comedy Festival, appeared on 'Laughs' on Fox and Hulu, 'Laff Tracks' on TruTV. 8:00 PM Stage: Sense and Sensibility A playful adaptation of Jane Austen's novel follows the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters - sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne - after their father's sudden death leaves them financially destitute and socially vulnerable. Set in gossipy late 18th-century England, with a fresh female voice, Sense and Sensibility examines our reactions, both reasonable and ridiculous, to societal pressures.
