All Day Stage: Las Quinceañeras From the creators of the groundbreaking Waking La Llorona, Las Quinceañeras offers a surreal, immersive, multisensory exploration of the famed rite of passage undertaken by many Latinas on their 15th birthday. The mysterious Optika Moderna opens its doors once again after years of secrecy and seclusion, inviting participants to undergo their latest procedure "Proyecto (15)." Adventurous audiences can book an appointment to meet with Optika Moderna's staff of trained paranormal opticians. Within the lab, patients will experience a hallucinogenic journey into the early 1990s as they relive the fateful events surrounding the celebrations of multiple Quinceañeras.

A production by Optika Moderna / David Israel Reynoso, performances are part of the La Jolla Playhouse's San Diego Wow (Without Walls) Festival.

10:00 AM San Diego International Film Festival The Power of Perspective. Come Watch With Us. The San Diego International Film Festival features 200+ filmmakers gathering in San Diego to show their films every year. SDIFF celebrates film's power to create empathy via new perspectives that emerge from powerful and compelling storytelling. The festival showcases great stories, fresh voices and diverse points of view from around the world. Our line up includes world-premiers, never before seen studio releases, the best in independent filmmaking and a full schedule of parties and events with the filmmakers themselves. Great film sparks great dialogue, which is why we're dedicated to giving our audiences the unique opportunity to meet and ask questions of filmmakers after screenings, and informally meet-ups at a variety of parties and events. The festival culminates with the annual Night of the Stars Tribute, recognizing actors and filmmakers who have made a mark on the film industry, and the world, with their professional contributions.

10:00 AM Sukkot Harvest Festival The 7th Annual Sukkot Harvest Festival family event coincides with the last day of the week-long Jewish holiday of Sukkot, and is the Farm's biggest event of the year, inspired by the Jewish tradition of gathering community outdoors to celebrate the end of an abundant summer harvest and welcome in the fall season and all it brings. The Sukkot holiday is an ancient Jewish harvest festival reflecting themes of hospitality and the welcoming of strangers; like many of the farm's events, the festival will welcome people of all backgrounds. This year's festival theme is Sukkot Shalom, which means "sukkah of peace." The community is invited to meet under the sukkah (temporary shelter) for a day filled with live music, food, and activities for all ages. Happenings include a host of Jewish learning workshops, self-guided Farm Tours, Kids Zone, petting zoo, as well as numerous food vendor options for purchase. The music lineup includes Zzymzzy Quartet and Kavanah by Temple Solel

12:30 PM Stage: ¡Vuela! ¡Vuela! The title alone is a nod to the seemingly impossible. Four battered and injured birds desperately beat their wings in an attempt to return to flight alongside their flock as they flee the arrival of a hurricane. Not able to lift themselves more than a palm's length, they helplessly contemplate their luck at being abandoned by the rest, the model birds, the healthy and strong. Instantly, the most basic questions arise: How will they fetch water or food? Will they really be able to survive without the help of their tribe? This is a play about solidarity, teamwork and the ability to adapt and put on a brave face despite life's difficulties.

A production by Inmigrantes Teatro, performances are part of the La Jolla Playhouse's San Diego Wow (Without Walls) Festival.
