11:00 AM Chula Vista Fiestas Patrias With the continuous support from the City of Chula Vista and in partnership with the Latino Food Industry Association nonprofit, more than 20 musical and cultural dance performances will be showcased at this year's Fiestas Patrias Music Festival scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m on Sunday, September 17. Located West of H St, between Bay Blvd and Marina Parkway this amazing and beautiful space provides the best view of Chula Vista's own Marina and the City's shopping district.

Enjoy delicious food, music and interactive zones designed for the entire family and much much more. It will be a Sunday family fun day.

12:00 PM Serbian Food and Cultural Festival Sixth-annual event. Sample homemade food (we're roasting lambs and pigs), along with European desserts and imported wine and beer. 2:00 PM Odissi Dance Workshop Join us for an Odissi dance workshop featuring master teacher Rudraprasad Swain. Odissi is an exquisite classical dance form with ancient roots in northeast India. Rudraprasad, who comes to us from the Orissa Dance Academy in Bhubaneswar, is a student of Padmashree Guru Gangadhar Pradhan, Guru Aruna Mohanty, and other noted teachers of the art. He is currently resident instructor at the Center for World Music's Odissi Dance School. In this workshop, you will:

Learn about the history of Odissi and the training required to become a performer;

Participate in an introduction to fundamental movements of Odissi; and

Enjoy a short performance by the dance master and the students of the dance school.
