4:00 PM Stage: Clybourne Park Palomar College stages Bruce Norris' follow-up to Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun. Act One takes place in 1959, as white community leaders anxiously try to stop the sale of a home to a black family. Act Two is set in the same house in the present day, as the now predominantly African-American neighborhood battles to hold its ground in the face of gentrification. Annie Hinton directs.

5:15 PM Curator’s Talk: A Last Look at British Modern This exhibition will chronicle the graphic work of two of the most significant movements of early 20th century modern art in Britain: Vorticism and the Grosvenor School. Selected from the world-renowned print collection of the British Museum, the exhibition will feature around sixty works by exemplars of British modernism.

Please join us as the exhibition curator, Erin Maynes, guides us through the galleries on a last tour before the show closes. Erin will speak in the galleries using the works exhibited as visual aids.

6:00 PM Gator By The Bay Zydeco, Blues & Crawfish Festival Emphasizing the the rollicking music, food and Mardi Gras spirit of Louisiana, San Diego's 16th annual Gator By The Bay is the largest, most authentic good times music, dance and culture festival in Southern California. Held Thursday, May 11 to Sunday, May 14 - Spanish Landing Park, across from San Diego International Airport, Gator By the Bay features four days of live music with over 100 musical acts and special performances on seven stages, shaded dance floors for non-stop dancing, cooking demos, dance lessons and 10,000 pounds of live crawfish brought in fresh from Louisiana for the biggest crawfish boil this side of the bayou.

Since its inception in 2001 the festival has grown to showcase not only Grammy winning Cajun and Zydeco artists directly from Louisiana, but also legendary Chicago and California blues artists, rockabilly and roots performers and award-winning salsa and Latin bands. The festival has become an annual must-do for enthusiasts of all ages.

Festival tickets range from $25 to $40, with discounts available for advance purchase and multiday passes. Children 17 and under are admitted free with a paid adult and kids can enjoy an activity area just for them.

7:00 PM Italian Film: Maicol Jecson (Moonwalking Distance) The San Diego Italian Film Festival presents the 2014 film Maicol Jecson. During the last week of June 2009, 16 year-old Andrea decides to skip the summer camp while his parents are on vacation. The boy's plan is clear: he schemes to be alone with Eva, a beautiful girl who wants to make love for the first time, and with him! His plan is hampered by his younger brother Tommaso, a smart and introverted kid whose idol is Michael Jackson, and Cesare, an old man who pretends to be their grandfather.
