12:55 PM Film: The Golden Age From the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow, The Golden Age comes to cinemas nationwide for one day. In the 1920's, The Golden Age cabaret is a favorite nightly haunt. The young fisherman Boris falls in love with Rita. He follows her to the cabaret and realizes that she is the beautiful dancer "Mademoiselle Margot," but also the love interest of the local gangster Yashka. With its jazzy score by Dmitri Shostakovich and its music-hall atmosphere featuring beautiful tangos, The Golden Age is a refreshing and colorful dive into the roaring 20's. A historic ballet that can be seen only at the Bolshoi!

2:00 PM Opera: Carmen Carmen is one fiery gypsy womana femme fatale who lives life on her own provocative terms. The next notch on her belt is the naïve soldier Don Jose who is bewitched by her passion and gives up everything to be with her, including his sweetheart Micaela. In her true heartless fashion, Carmen becomes bored and callously drops her young lover when her path collides with the macho bullfighting Escamillo. Obsessed and alone, will Don Jose's jealousy ignites an emotional bonfire that destroys them all. Carmen is an archetype of literature and art set to passionate music that will burn up the stage with it's unbridled drama and incredible music, including the "Toreador Song" and the seductive "Habanera." Set in classic Spain, this traditional production has all of the lust, jealousy, revenge, and heart-stopping drama you've come to expect from Bizet's powerful opera.

The wit and whimsy of Gilbert and Sullivan's classic score is suffused with a modern sensibility in The Pirates of Penzance JR., a swashbuckling musical journey!

Set on the rocky coast of Cornwall, England, The Pirates of Penzance JR. begins with a group of pirates who are celebrating the birthday of one of their own, Frederic, who has reached his 21st year.

Finally, having served the full length of his required time with the pirates, he decides to strike off on his own and become an upstanding citizen - which may even mean bringing the pirates to justice.
