1:00 PM Lecture: The Role of Hunting in Anthropogeny Hunting has long been seen as a key human adaptation, thought to have influenced our anatomy, physiology and behavior. While humans have been hunter/gatherers for most of our existence as a species, there is considerable uncertainty about where, when, why, and how our early ancestors came to consume vertebrate meat on a regular basis.

The goal of "The Role of Hunting in Anthropogeny" is to explore evidence pertaining to understanding the origins of hominin hunting in an attempt to focus research agendas for the future.

7:00 PM Stage: Turandot Puccini's classic opera returns starring soprano Lise Lindstrom in the title role as well as the company debuts of tenor Carl Tanner as Calāf and mezzo-soprano Angel Joy Blue as Lių. "Turandot" is a tale of mystery, intrigue and ultimately the triumph of love set in Imperial China. These performances mark the anticipated return of Lindstrom in her signature title role as princess "Turandot," a role performed here in 2011 and on all of the world's leading stages. Also joining the cast in his company debut is bass Brian Kontes as Timur.
