All Day San Diego Jewish Film Festival The 28th Annual San Diego Jewish Film Festival runs February 8-18. The 11-day event is the largest Jewish cultural event in San Diego and draws over 17,000 attendees annually to more than 70 screenings. Features San Diego film premieres, international guest filmmakers, and juried and audience choice awards. Screenings will be shown at five locations. This year the festival will showcase a total of 58 films of the best contemporary Jewish-themed films from around the world celebrating life, human rights and freedom of expression.

Admission/Cost: $12.25 - $15.25, Festival pass $275

3:00 PM VinDiego Wine & Food Festival This year we have the honor to participate to VinDiego, our city's biggest wine event, with over 70 top tier wineries and 25 of San Diego's very best Chefs coming together to create San Diego's premier wine and food celebration. This event is a true wine connoisseur's delight, and it gathers thousands of people celebrating a shared passion for great wine and mouth-watering gourmet food. On April 14th, VinDiego will be hosting its festival that will encourage select guests to taste wines, talk to winemakers and enjoy a wonderful party.

We were selected as VinDiego's partners, and we will be hosting a silent auction to help us raise funds for our programs and to allow us to expand our offerings to our audience and community.

6:00 PM Film: A Small Act An act of kindness by a Swedish benefactor transforms Chris Mburu's education, leading him to make a difference in the lives of others. This documentary follows the development of Mburu's scholarship program in Kenya, highlighting the rippling effect of a small act. Special features begin at 5:00 PM, followed by the film at 6:00 PM. Stay afterward for a post-show discussion of the film. February selections reflect themes represented in the works of author Daniel Pink, who has been selected as the feature author for the Carlsbad Reads Together 2018 program.

Additionally, Ayala has been featured in thirteen movies. A legend of Norteño music, Ayala is one of the most recognized and best-selling artists of this genre of Mexican music, breaking many sales records along the way.

Lorenzo de Monteclaro is a singer of Mexican Ranchera music. He has sung on more than 90 albums, acted in almost 50 films, and he continues to sing even after 5 decades.

At the end of the Vietnam War, Quang and Tong fall in love in a refugee camp in Arkansas, then take a life-changing trip across America. Jesca Prudencio directs the piece, performed with a mash-up of comic book aesthetics, martial arts, and hip-hop.

This exhilarating revival pairs one of the greatest plays ever written with the world's most celebrated translators of Russian literature.

Vanya and his niece Sonya struggle to care for the estate owned by Vanya's brother-in-law, a wealthy and celebrated professor. When this local legend returns with a beautiful new wife and announces his plans to sell the estate, hidden passions explode and the lives of the entire family come undone.

Performed in an unusually intimate and conversational style, this staging of "Uncle Vanya" provides an up-close encounter with a classic of world drama.
