6:00 PM Masquerade Fat Tuesday Parade San Diego's nationally recognized Mardi Gras celebration brings over-the-top glitz, glam, floats, and beads to the Gaslamp. Celebrate with 20,000 other revelers plus stilt walkers, performers, and sexy samba dancers. For the evening's finale, the final float of the parade parks and becomes a roaring centerpiece stage for the rest of the night.

This year marks the centenary of the world-historical events of 1917, which began with the February Revolution in Russia and culminated in October with "ten days that shook the world" — the overthrow of the capitalist provisional government and conquest of political power by the Bolshevik Party, under the leadership of Vladimir Lenin and Leon Trotsky.
